Michael Douglas' Son Attacked In Jail

According to The New York Post, Michael Douglas's son, Cameron Douglas, facing a bad situation for his years of drug use and distribution, was attacked in jail and had his leg and a finger broken.

In detail, Cameron, 34, became the target of a New York mobster who put a mere $100 bounty on him, a source revealed to The Post. It was payback for the fact that Cameron had betrayed his drug suppliers during his original sentencing hearing, by giving information that was carelessly revealed during a 2010 bail hearing.

It has to be noted that Cameron's testimony against the dealers helped get him a five year, instead of 10 year, sentence in 2009. But he later earned himself an additional four and a half years in prison for smuggling in heroin and a prescription narcotic while at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.

As for Michael Douglas, he has remained supportive to trying to help his troubled son. Even when he was battling cancer two years ago, he regularly made the 200 mile trip to visit Cameron at his Pennsylvania prison.

It has to be added that Cameron's not eligible for release until 2018.
